THE BEST BRAINS
FOR LAVAL VIRTUAL
The Laval Virtual fair is not only a unique opportunity for professionals and the general public to discover the best of VR/AR technology: it is also an unparalleled venue for knowledge sharing.
From Monday to Friday, the fair will feature multiple opportunities for exchanges about key learnings of existing solutions, discovering projects that are now coming of age, as well as gaining a prospective vision of evolutions from now to 2025.
THE “DAVOS” OF VIRTUAL AND AUGMENTED REALITY
As an introduction to the event, five internationally renowned scientists from around the world (Australia, Japan, the United States…) will hold a debate with major global industrial groups (Airbus, Renault, Thales…) to suggest a basis for discussion for other exchanges scheduled throughout the fair.
OF VIRTUAL REALITY
Held over the fair’s three days in the unusual surroundings of Laval’s diocese, eight conferences and five workshops (augmented humans, mobility and immersion, new usages and the future of industry, leisure and the arts…) will contribute to enrich the conversation and result on the Friday morning publication of a document entitled “VR vision for 2025”.
THE ROUND TABLES
Organized at the heart of the fair over its three days, they will host a succession of keynote presentations given by key market players; all are open to the fair’s professional visitors. Two themes for this year:
Industrial players have taken a keen interest in virtual reality for a number of years now. Today, new immersive technologies are contributing to the sector’s deep transformation.
Across different sectors such as transport, maintenance, construction, and even education and training, participants will be offered an opportunity to enjoy multiple keynote speeches given at the heart of the fair to help them discover best practices and anticipate future developments.
" NEAR FUTURE "
Immersive technologies are changing our lives. The “Near Future” sessions will help participants to understand why, and give them keys to envision their use in such diverse fields as advertising, leisure, sports, health and tourism!
CONFERENCES FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC
Through the event’s commitment to share ideas and plant new seeds, no fewer than seven conferences will be held to help fuel the conversation between professionals and the general public, in such diverse fields as leisure (drones), social issues (VR and disabilities) or the protection of individual rights (digital identity).
Laval Virtual’s determination to leverage the knowledge, enthusiasm and expertise of every participant has been a consistent feature of the event since its inception in 1999, making it a fantastic forum for collective intelligence to thrive!
